Smiths Coffee Co are a specialist coffee bean supplier based in the UK. They offer customers a comprehensive range of freshly roasted coffee beans from around the world. This includes single estate, speciality, Fairtrade and organic coffees as well as a range of flavoured coffees.
Smiths Coffee Co has grown its customer base over the years on its reputation for providing the highest standards of quality and service.Whilst Smiths are well established and supply a wide variety of businesses, they had very little retail market presence. We were tasked with creatiing and developing a consumer-facing online interface to develop this area of their business.
This process commenced with a full rebranding of Smiths, which also involved developing retail-facing packaging across the board. Once we had established the offline look and feel, we then turned our attention towards the online content.
We had to develop a website that communicated the heritage of Smiths, retaining the brand equity, but also making the site engaging for a younger audience. We achieved this by using Smiths' traditional colour palette fused with electric colors and bold typography.
The website utilises full ecommerce, and Smiths have reported month-on-month growth since its inception earlier this year.
