Brief
Urban Student Life (USL) offers students a new way of living
whilst they study. The brand targets the increasingly demanding and
discerning student generation, students prepared to pay for
high-quality accommodation and services whilst they are in
education. We will build vibrant, supportive tolerant communities
in each of our properties and ensure friendly, welcoming and safe
environments so that our students can live and study with
confidence and success. Wildfire were appointed to help shape
the visual representation of USL and to design and build the
website. With a target demograph of 18-25 year-old, the brand
obviously needed to appeal to a youthful audience, whilst still
remaining suitable to a product at the higher end of the
market.
Creative
One of the biggest challenges of the project was to combine both
'Urban Student Life' and 'USL' into a single identity. This was
achieved by stylising the initials into a more decorative element
so as to not overpower the full name. The bright, fresh colour
palette teamed with dark grey and plenty of white space give the
impression of a modern but exciting brand that reflects the
accommodation itself.
